This synthesis report is based on three individual country-based reports produced by partners in each participating country, notably Fondazione Aida in association with Prof Gabriel Maria Sala, Professor of Intercultural Mediation – University of Verona (Italy), PRISMA Centre for Development Studies (Greece) and Academy of Balkan Civilization (Bulgaria). A shorter and adapted version of each country report has been included in this synthesis report. Additionally, this report contains a European literature and media review on the hijab debate, a cross-country comparison and overall conclusions.
